Contemporary full red morocco binding. Decorated smooth spine. Red morocco title labels. Boards stamped with arms, triple fillet frame with corner tools. Gilt edges. One lack at head. Yellow dampstain on the first 10 leaves. Handsome copy in very desirable condition.
This almanac had existed for 25 years and catalogued everything of interest in the theatrical and musical entertainment of Paris, not only the venues, but also the actors, musicians, and the repertoire performed. Of note is a review of the opera Iphigénie en Aulide given by Gluck in 1776.
