Le Courrier français is an illustrated weekly founded and directed by Jules Roques. It was published from 1884 to 1913. Under his direction, the journal became the most representative satirical organ of the era. Its contributors included Maurice Bouchor, Raoul Ponchon, Georges Montorgueil, Hugues Delorme, Jean Lorrain, and its illustrators included Adolphe Willette, David Ossipovitch Widhopff, Jean-Louis Forain, Jules Chéret, Hermann-Paul, Henri Pille, Pierre Jeannot. It featured sections on literature, fine arts, theatre, medicine and finance.
