First edition, one of 5 numbered copies on Normandy vellum, the only deluxe copies printed after 2 on Japan paper.
Bradel binding in indigo cloth-backed marbled boards, spine subtly faded, decorated with a gilt floral motif, gilt double rule at foot, brown morocco label, marbled paper-covered boards, original wrappers preserved; a binding typical of those found in Henri Béraud's personal library.
Rare and valuable signed presentation inscription by Paul Lintier: "A Henri Béraud, à l'apôtre courageux et violent..."
