Superb testimony of the fruitful friendship between the poet and the artist who published together, several masterpieces, often made during their joint wanderings with Nush and Adrienne: Easy (1935) , The free hands (1937), Time overflows (1947) ...
It was also during their couple holidays in Antibes between March and April 1938 that Eluard offered Man Ray his collection of poems, dedicated to Nush, just out of the press of the printer.
Man Ray, no doubt inspired by his friend's verses as well as by the beauty of his model, realized during this stay, some of his most beautiful portraits of Nush and Eluard.
