First edition printed in small numbers.
Traces of horizontal folds on the first cover, otherwise a nice copy.
Signed by Charles-Louis-Augustin Letellier at the top of first cover.
A pioneering work in the development of a universal alphabet based on phonetic rules. The language system advocated by Letellier in this rare opuscule was one of the two finalists selected the following year by the Comité de la Langue universelle (Universal Language Committee), the very first association of linguists aspiring to create a universal language and promote its use. Letellier's work is cited by Jorge Luis Borges in his famous essay "El idioma analítico de John Wilkins", as a notable attempt to create a language that defines itself - and the Universe - by itself.
