First edition printed on ordinary paper. Handsome copy. Full burgundy bakelite binding, spine enhanced with a silver-plated metal plate bearing the engraved title of the work, joints mounted on piano-type hinges, beveled boards at edges, endpapers and pastedowns of gold-enhanced watered silk, covers preserved, top edge gilt, exceptional Art Deco binding signed Jotau, with the mention inside the second board: "breveté S.G.D.G.". Stunning bakelite binding (thermosetting resin) characteristic of the Art Deco years and already rare in the 1930s given the costly nature of its manufacture.
