First edition. These two volumes are numbers I, II, III, IV, Volumes XXIII of the Le Philologue collection which comprises "7 to 8 volumes". Missing the third volume from the year 1828 which forms the Theocriti Quae Exstant Omnia. Half fawn sheep binding, smooth spine decorated with plant motifs and gilt fillets, tears to joints, spine partially stained, marbled edges. Scattered foxing. Rare.
