Contemporary half mint-green shagreen over dark green cloth (slight insignificant rubbing and scratching at edges), spine in six compartments (light rubbing) with triple gilt fillets, head- and tail-pieces rubbed, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, a few corners rubbed.
The volume of plates includes 87 plates engraved after photographs by Nadar or paintings by Rosa & Isidore Bonheur, Emile Van Marcke, J. Mélin and so on. The text volume is complete with its five maps heightened in colors.
