    First edition, rare, limited to 500 copies in total after 300 numbered copies of which 100 specially bound. Copy belonging to Hans Maria Lux with his stamp and a note in blue ink dated 1975. Under the stamp of Hans Maria Lux's signature, 2 Chinese or Japanese stamps. Hans Maria Lux was an author of children's books and an educator.
    Publisher's binding in grey marbled paper with a green title label. Grey chemise with title on the front board and spine. Some foxing in the margins, which seems to affect all copies due to the paper used. The marbled paper covering the spine is split lengthwise with small losses. The chemise shows tears to the spine with the head torn off.

Our copy is enhanced, on the first free page, with a second autograph dated 1928 by Le Corbusier: “To Mr E. Mercier. It is not a question here, in fact, of the decorative art, but of the spirit that animates this magnificent epoch and is so poignant.”
    A precious copy, in a strictly contemporary binding and enhanced by two successive autographs by Le Corbusier.

    Burgundy morocco binding, spine in five compartments set with black fillets, gilt heraldic eagle at the bottom, heraldic coat of arms stamped in the centre of the boards, endpapers with geometric motifs, bordered with a burgundy morocco strip on the inner covers, gilt top edge, contemporary binding signed by Creuzevault.
    Some small foxing on the endpapers and some very fine tears in the margin of the final endpapers.
    Beautiful copy, nicely bound.

    This so-called "correspondence" is actually a poetic exchange of savory aphorisms facetiously attributed to various exotic traditions.
    The half-title includes a whimsical volume statement: Correspondance complète (I). A second volume obviously never appeared.
    Handsome copy.
