First edition illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Nargeon and a title vignette, the final pages of the volume contain musical scores. Contemporary binding in full glazed red calf, spine with four raised bands decorated with gilt fillets and dotted lines, blind tooling, gilt dentelles at head and foot, gilt eyelets emphasizing the bands, boards decorated with gilt fillets and dentelles and blind motifs in frames, gilt lines emphasizing the headcaps, gilt roulettes at the corners on the edges, gilt roulettes framing the pastedowns, marbled pastedowns and endpapers, all edges gilt. Spine slightly faded, headcaps rubbed with a small lack of leather at head, edges slightly rubbed, corners rubbed, boards scratched, second board slightly stained, foxing.
