An autograph letter signed by Julien Green to Jean Denoël, an influential figure in the Gallimard editions, about the volume illustration project of his "Journal" by Denyse de Bravura. "I asked Plon to go to Bravura's Denise (sic) for illustrations of my diary in my" complete works. "It sounds curious to illustrate a newspaper, but here and there allusions to landscapes that can provide the desired pretext. " Julien Green praises the quality of Denyse de Bravura's work : "You know how much I admire his talent. This gouache that I have in front of me is a little masterpiece of delicacy and poetry ". As Julien Green wanted, Denyse de Bravura will end up illustrating his "Journal", work that counts among his finest achievements. Finally, Julien Green encourages Jean Denoël to give him news and come to visit him: "I'm here in the morning and I'd like to see you so much". Envelope attached.
