Autograph letter signed by Pierre Albert-Birot to an unknown addressee, written in French in blue ink. Date at the top of the letter and Paris address of Pierre Albert-Birot at the bottom of the letter.
Pierre Albert-Birot's letter is an invitation. He enjoins his addressee to come to his home on Saturday, July 22 and to call him if he can not.
The creator of the magazine SIC , close to Cubist avant-garde and futuristic, saw in the early 1930s the mourning of his companion Germaine Albert-Birot. He describes this contemporary as his "time of solitude". They are still years of creation for the artist. It is indeed in 1933, thanks to the recommendation of Jean Paulhan, that the first two books his epic Grabinoulor begun in 1918 are published by Denoël. He continues to write the book until his death and his new companion Arlette Lafont will struggle to publish the last four volumes of this book.
