Original drawing signed in black ink by Carlo Rim depicting his friend Roger Martin du Gard, slightly in profile with a pipe in his right hand.
The drawing is signed with red ballpoint pen and captioned and dated in pencil "Roger Martin du Gard 1933", two spots of white gouache frame the drawing at the level of the pipe and a fold in the writer's right arm.
Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
