New editions. One frontispiece engraved by De Longueil after Watelet and 4 title fleurons engraved by Watelet for the Choix de poésies (cf. Cohen, col. 500). One frontispiece engraved by Watelet after Pierre, 5 head-vignettes engraved by Marguerite Le Comte (4) and Watelet (1) and one tailpiece for Daphnis (cf. Cohen, col. 436). One frontispiece, 10 head-vignettes and 2 tailpieces engraved by Watelet for the Idylles (cf. Cohen, col. 431).
Contemporary full grained calf bindings. Smooth spines decorated with blind fillets, unidentified gilt numbers at foot. Blind fillet frame to boards. All edges speckled red.
Small hole in the blank of the title of volume III. One tear without loss to the half-title of volume II. Small crack with loss of leather to one joint.
