Dark red morocco by Stroobants, the spine richly decorated with compartments and decorative tools in the Romantic style, date to foot of spine, triple gilt fillet frame to covers, gilt roulette frame to pastedowns, marbled endpapers, double gilt fillet to edges of covers, gilt roulette to headpiece, covers preserved, gilt edges.
With a frontispiece by Tony Johannot.
Autograph inscription signed by Alfred de Vigny to Madame de Fabricius, a friend of the author, close companion of Emile Deschamps and a regular at his salon.
