Half red shagreen binding, spine with five raised bands set with gilt fillets and decorated with gilt typographical motifs, triple gilt fillet frame on red paper boards, front board stamped at center with gilt laurel crown and mention of prize book awarded by the Academy of Paris, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, all edges gilt, contemporary binding.
Some minor foxing of no consequence.
A handsome copy beautifully executed.
