First edition, one of six numbered copies on Japan paper, the tirage de tête.
Elegant half dark green morocco over marbled paper boards by P. Goy & C. Vilaine, spine in six compartments, gilt date to spine, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt.
This copy is enriched with an important two-page autograph note signed by the author to Jules Bois in which he calls him "love and friend" and in which a breakfast is discussed where they would be joined by a certain Mlle Nau and Paul Fort who had just “knocked out Sar and revenged Archonte [Antoine de la Rochefoucauld]”.
A very good copy perfectly bound.
