La tentation de St. Antoine

First edition. We note the following two errors that characterize the first edition: "capitaine" instead of "capitale" (page 152) and "éphémérides" instead of "éphémère" (page 295).
Contemporary half navy blue shagreen binding. Spine with raised bands decorated with 4 fleurons. Gilt title within a frame. Light traces of rubbing. It should be noted that numerous pages have suffered from slight ink transfer from the facing leaves and show the watermark of another impression. Paper of superb freshness, immaculate white with some rare and very pale foxing.
