New edition and first edition under this title, adopting that of the publication in the periodical La Semaine in 1848: Une pécheresse.
The first edition in volume form would appear in 1851 under the title La Femme du Banquier. (cf. Paul Féval. Parcours d'une œuvre, by Jean-Pierre Galvan).
Half dark green shagreen binding, spine slightly faded with five raised bands set with gilt dots decorated with double gilt compartments, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, one upper corner slightly bumped, speckled edges.
Gift inscription in blue ballpoint pen on one endpaper.
