Edition with some parts in first edition (the first ode, "Les muses", had appeared previously) and printed in 215 numbered copies on Arches laid paper. Half cloth binding with corners in vellum style, spine lightly browned with five raised bands set with gilt friezes and decorated with double gilt compartments enhanced with gilt typographical motifs, gilt date at foot, marbled paper boards with small lacks of paper, endpapers and pastedowns of marbled paper, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt, endpapers with some shadowing and small worming, contemporary binding. Rare light foxing without gravity, handsome copy decorated with magnificent colored initials.
