First edition of which there were no deluxe copies. Handsome copy. Signed autograph inscription by Auguste Anglès, at the head of the first volume, to a couple of friends named Eric and Martine: "A Eric, pour qu'il en parle, et à Martine, pour qu'elle ne lise pas cela, en amitié !" ["To Eric, so he may speak of it, and to Martine, so she won't read this, in friendship!"] We include three signed autograph letters by Auguste Anglès (dated November 27 and December 8, 1964, and April 10, 1978), the first two on letterhead from the Maison française of Oxford University, addressed to his friend named Eric.
