First edition. Half red shagreen binding with corners, spine with 5 raised bands decorated with double blind compartments, double blind fillets framing the boards, top edge gilt, upper corners slightly bumped, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, bookplate pasted to verso of front board. Numerous articles and free chronicles on contemporary events and artists, notably Baudelaire, Banville, Barbey, Champfleury, Delacroix, Hugo, Lamartine, Mérimée, Nadar, Wagner... The articles being mostly anonymous, contributions to this rare review are difficult to attribute. It is known that Baudelaire participated, his hand having already been recognized in several articles from 1862. Handsome copy printed on laid paper. Rare copy of this review formerly "Revue anecdotique des Lettres et des Arts" and which will be taken over in 1962 by Poulet Malassis.
