Contributions by Gustave Aymard and Charles Yriarte notably, drawings by Cham, Gustave Doré and Edmond Morin notably. Review illustrated with numerous full-page black and white engravings, some double-page engravings. Le Monde illustré is a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, it was directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
