Contributions by Gustave Aimard, Paul Féval and Charles Yriarte notably, illustrations by Cham, Gustave Doré and Edmond Morin among others. Journal illustrated with numerous full-page engravings in black and white, some double-page engravings. Le Monde illustré was a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
