First edition. This issue contains original contributions by Dora Montefiore, Paul Hyacinthe Loyson, Paul Girod, Sébastien Charles Leconte and Albert Lantoine. An international review directed by Augustin Hamon with a strong anarchist orientation, l'Humanité Nouvelle began in May 1897 and published its final issue in December 1903 after an eighteen-month interruption between February 1901 and October 1902. Containing artistic chronicles, sociological and scientific articles, and literary texts, l'Humanité nouvelle aimed to provide its readers with an overview of the world's political, cultural and scientific evolution. This issue includes as a supplement, the Procès de l'Humanité Nouvelle which pits Hamon against his publisher Schleicher. Covers foxed, interior fresh, except for the final pages.
