Speckled calf bindings bearing the arms of Guillaume Pavée de Vendeuvre, spines with five raised bands with gilt dotted rules, black morocco title labels, brown morocco volume labels, year gilt at the foot, blind-tooled inner roll, pastedowns of curl on combed paper, comb-marbled edges. A very few abrasions, joints of the first volume weakened, one of them slightly split at the foot, first leaves of the second volume folded, very slight foxing to some leaves.
