Publisher's binding in full red morocco-grained shagreen, smooth spine unlettered and slightly, one joint cracked at foot, two tiny lacks of leather to front cover, endpapers and pastedowns of pink moiré-effect paper, rubbing with corner leather lacks to rear cover, all edges gilt.
Work complete with 28 vignettes depicting the decorations of hospital guard rooms as well as 29 sepia group photographs of interns with their names.
Light foxing without serious damage affecting mainly the foot of the photographs.
Rare and handsome complete copy.
