Autograph letter signed by Jean Cocteau addressed from Nice to Carlo Rim, 11 lines in blue ink, regarding the filming of "La maison Bonnadieu" which Carlo Rim is directing and for which he sought advice from Jean Cocteau who responds: "Mon cher Carlo Rim, je reçois la lettre Bonnadieu trop tard et sur la côte. Je vous souhaite notre soleil si vous avez des extérieurs et je vous félicite de travailler avec mon admiarble Hayer. Bonne chance ! Votre Jean Cocteau" ["My dear Carlo Rim, I received the Bonnadieu letter too late and from the coast. I wish you our sunshine if you have exterior shots and I congratulate you on working with my admirable Hayer. Good luck! Your Jean Cocteau"], Jean Cocteau having adorned his surname with his customary star as well as two strokes in orange pencil and blue pen. Central folds inherent to envelope insertion. Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer, author notably of "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker: "Justin de Marseille", "L'armoire volante", "La maison Bonnadieu", and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary.
