
Second edition and first edition printed in Paris; the first edition was published in St Petersburg in 1795.
Contemporary half tan sheep over boards, with small vellum corners, smooth spine slightly darkened and ruled in gilt, tan sheep lettering-piece, speckled edges, bookplate pasted to one pastedown.
A few restorations to spine, pale staining around the bookplate and on the facing page, occasional minor foxing.
This work consists of an extract from the journal of the author's extensive journey through the "southern governments of the Russian Empire" in 1793 and 1794, more specifically from the second part devoted to the description of Crimea.
