The first work consists of a travel account in the form of a journal... To Elsinore by sea, then to Copenhagen, and in the island of Zealand and other islands, then in the duchy of Holstein and to Lübeck. Description of the city of Copenhagen, considerations on commerce and customs, justice and government... Des Hayes was sent to the kingdom of Denmark to negotiate commercial treaties on the Baltic, he includes a letter from Christian IV very advantageous for France.
The second work consists of a rarer voyage to the Levant. The author passes through the cities of Ragusa, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Adrianople then Constantinople of which he gives a beautiful picturesque description at the end.
