First edition, rare. An allegorical frontispiece signed Clément. Printed on laid paper. Contemporary binding in full glazed long-grain red morocco in the sober manner of Bozérian. Smooth spine decorated with 7 fillets, gilt title and date. Double blind fillet border on boards with small angular tools. Roll on edges and turn-ins. All edges gilt. Superb copy, very fine, with particularly fresh paper. F. M. Caye bookplate. Surgeon and man of letters, Petit-Radel is responsible for several books on eroticism, notably Érotopsie, ou coup d'œil sur la poésie érotique. A publisher's preface introduces the author. Latin poetry inspired by Latin authors, of a gentle and sentimental eroticism.
