Comparative history of the Estates-General, published on the occasion of their convocation in 1789. The first 2 volumes contain a history of the Estates-General in France from the origins, preceded by a brief comparison with ancient Rome. The third volume is devoted to the English parliament. The work is notable for its numerous and interesting economic considerations, and forms a remarkable political reflection at the start of the French Revolution.
