    Contemporary full marbled brown sheep binding. Raised spine decorated. Red morocco title labels. Head caps worn with small losses. 3 corners slightly bumped. Upper edge of volume 1 rubbed and scraped. Some scattered foxing. Good copy.
    All editions of Robinson Crusoe have become rather rare today, and they are encountered less and less often, except for that of 1784 from the same publisher. The first edition remains very rare, especially in a good copy. In the preface, Robinson Crusoe is presented as a real person and not as a fictional being.

Tail headcap partly torn away. Split to upper joint at head and foot along 3 compartments. Tear to leaf 51 with loss at bottom of page. Corners very bumped. Rather rare German binding.
    Music and text of psalms, as well as several canticles. Table of psalms and prayers.

    Contemporary full brown sheepskin binding, marbled and glazed. Smooth spine richly decorated with fleurons, leaves, roulettes... Red morocco title label. Blind-ruled frame on covers. Red edges. A lack to the upper joint at head. Corners bumped. Some pale foxing, and paper most often yellowed. Handsome copy.
    Most of the poetry of Abbé de Chaulieu is of Anacreontic and Epicurean inspiration. This libertine poet was close to the Dukes of Vendôme, as his poetry sometimes testifies. At the end, the poetry of M. de la Farre, friend of the poet.

    Contemporary binding in full marbled blonde sheep. Smooth spine decorated with four compartmentalized fleurons. Red morocco title-label. Triple fillet frame on boards. Red edges. A lack to the lower joint extending onto the spine. Rubbing to headcaps, joints and corners.
    Armorial copy with unidentified arms at tail, argent, a chevron gules accompanied by three stars.
    Good copy.

    Pastiche of a Greek novel attributed by the author to Philidor, philosopher, who supposedly wrote it during his journey to Egypt. Story of the thwarted pastoral loves of Alzidor and Charizée who were raised together, the beauty disappearing when the shepherd discovers her naked. The whole is tinged with eroticism. One would have difficulty counting, at this period, the quantity of Greco-Latin novels that were written on the model of Daphnis and Chloe or the Aethiopica, it was a literary fashion to which numerous writers succumbed for the satisfaction of the public.

    Contemporary sheep, spine in six compartments with gilt fleurons as well as a red titlepiece (partly faded). Significant repairs to joints, speckled edges.
    This plan for peace in Europe by the economist and philosopher Ange Goudar lays out the origins and impact of conflicts on European nations, putting the emphasis on their economic consequences. The author then proposes a European entente and a supranational army that would punish any country that engaged in warfare, making the point that the blessings of peace first and foremost result from a change in behavior and that European nations therefore needed to experience a period of peace in order to understand its benefits fully.

    Collection comprising very diverse pieces with several Oriental stories, three comedies, short stories. In the foreword, the author warns that he is not responsible for the edition, it being the publisher's choice. With a facile and light pen, the collection surprises by the quality of the writing.
