    Like all satirical works by Abbé Bordelon, this is a curious and unclassifiable work in which a narrator travels in the company of Becafort, relating his thoughts, speeches and dialogues; the work teems with criticisms and reflections on social progress, women's independence, the occult sciences... It is a journey without any consideration for the journey itself, warns the narrator.
