First edition, one copy of chestnut. illustrated book 20 photographs, including 7 Man Ray, Brassaï 4, and 4 of Cartier-Bresson, Dora Maar, Rogi-André and NYT Back slightly cracked on top and bottom and with small gaps, small tears and marginal gaps on somewhat insolated angularly boards.
First edition of the French translation which was not drawn large papers, review copy. Signed autograph of one of the translators, RN Raimbault Madame Jean Lemarié. Preface by Panaït Istrati. Bookplate of Jean Lemarié pasted on inside cover. Back slightly insolated, otherwise pleasant complete copy of its blurb.
