Edition on current paper. Back and boards slightly and marginally exposed, a small tear at the bottom of a bit. Autograph dated and signed by Michel Butor to his friend the art critic and specialist in the New Roman Georges Raillard with an original fold. Annotations of the dedicatee in pencil at the beginning of the volume, reading marks made dedicatee in particular with the request to insert.
First edition from which it was not drawn from large papers, one of the review copies service. Covers illustrated with drawings by P. Picasso, Victor Hugo, F. Léger, A. Giacometti, A. Masson and J. Dubuffet. Autograph signed by Gaëtan Picon to Nathalie Sarraute.
First edition, one of 50 numbered copies on pur fil paper, the only deluxe copies. An angular fold mark at the head of the second cover, handsome copy.
