First edition. The translation of the Chou-King by Father Gaubil in the 18th century was revised and corrected by Pauthier, the Sse-Chou by Pauthier himself, the laws of Manu by M. Loiseur-Deslonchamps around 1830; the translation of the Koran is a commission by Pauthier to P. Kasimirski of whom this is the first printing, it will appear shortly after as a separate volume and will mark a milestone in the history of French translations of the Koran. The entire collection of texts is accompanied by introductions and commentaries. Text in double columns.
