    Half cherry red shagreen binding, spine with five raised bands decorated with gilt dotwork, marginal abrasions to boards, original wrappers preserved. Part of the work has come loose from its binding.
    A photograph of the author mounted on one of the endpapers. Three small watercolors (two are mounted and one is loosely inserted)...

    Modern half mint-green shagreen over marbled paper boards, spine in six compartments with fleurons and gilt fillets, black morocco-effect shagreen title and volume labels, gilt friezes to head and foot of spine, gilt initials of a collector to spine, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers (slightly soiled) preserved.
    Occasional spotting.
