Original color lithograph poster for the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, signed in the plate "C. Boignard" and "H. Rapin," printed by Lapina. Minor marginal tears not affecting the image, folds with some very minor lacks of paper at cross folds.
Striking large-format original bonds emission poster for the renowned 1925 Paris International Exhibition, which gave its name to the "Art Deco" movement.
The lithograph was created by Henri Rapin, "best remembered for his contribution to the 1925 exhibition, notably the dining room of the French Embassy, as part of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs [...] He was also, at that time, artistic director of the school of the Comité des dames of the Union centrale des arts décoratifs and artistic advisor to the Manufacture de Sèvres. It was within the Art Deco movement that Henri Rapin flourished in the 1920s and 1930s" (Musée d'Orsay). The poster also bears the printed signature of decorator and illustrator Camille Boignard, who created mural paintings for one of the pavilions at the 1925 Exhibition, located on the Esplanade des Invalides.
