The three volumes contain respectively 65 engravings, 60 and 62 engravings. The historical notices opposite each portrait, which comprise several pages, are the work of Villemain, Andrieux, Denon, Boissy d'Anglas and associates... the portraits by Mr Chrétien, Rulhman, Weber...
Numerous facsimiles add to the interest of the work, which...
