    First edition, one of 240 numbered copies on vélin d'Arches, with 22 color lithographs after gouaches, including 12 full-page plates by Maurice Utrillo, printed in the ateliers of Fernand Mourlot and Lucien Détruit.
    White aniline calf with gilt titanium joints, ink-painted boards in green and grey, decoration continuing edge-to-edge on the liners, loose endpapers on papier japon dyed with Kakishibu by the binder, title lengthwise on the spine, decorated chemise titled on the spine and matching custom slipcase. Original wrappers and spine preserved.

    First edition of this issue of La Revue musicale dated December 1, 1930, entirely devoted to Serge de Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes.

    With numerous contributions by Anna de Noailles, Gabriel Astruc, Maurice Brillant, Émile Henriot, Michel-Georges Michel, Mikhail Larionov, Auguste Gilbert de Voisins, André Warnod, among others.

    Illustrated in black and in color with works by Jean Cocteau, Léon Bakst, Georges Braque, André Derain, André Dunoyer de Segonzac, Natalia Goncharova, Mikhail Larionov, Pablo Picasso, Maurice Utrillo, and others.

    Two small light dampstains at the foot of the spine and rear cover, otherwise a pleasant copy.

    Short but important autograph letter signed by Maurice Utrillo, addressed to a friend named Robert, 9 lines written in black ink in the middle of an autograph draft probably in the hand of his correspondent.
    The manuscript, in the middle of which the letter is written, deals with the world of painters and notably mentions Lucie Utrillo-Valore, Maurice Utrillo and Kees van Dongen.
    The letter is signed Maurice Utrillo V, this last letter in homage to his mother the painter Suzanne Valadon.
    Maurice Utrillo praises his wife's work, also a painter, and is full of praise for her gifts: "... ma femme Lucie est un dessinateur et un peintre portraitiste qui me...

    Our copy is complete, in frontispiece, of his original lithograph by Suzanne Valadon that only large papers have.
    Pleasant copy wide-margined exceptionally enriched with an autograph shipment signed by Maurice Utrillo: "In respectful tribute to Mrs. Maire, and in sympathy to Mr. Maire. Maurice Utrillo, V, Saint-Bernard (Ain) October 1925." enriched by the handwritten signature of Suzanne Valadon and an autograph shipment signed by her husband, the painter André Utter.
