Full brown sheep binding. Spine with raised bands, richly decorated. Brown calf title-label. Head cap split. A tear to the upper joint with a strip of leather detaching over 1cm. Corners slightly bumped. Overall rubbed.
Historical preface which situates the homilies and harangues to the people by John Chrysostom within the events of Antioch, most having as their setting the revolt of the people of Antioch against the Emperor, then the pardon which progressively followed although the city was threatened with destruction.
