Some leaves of the Chansons de Béranger Volume II are slightly loosened but still holding, some plates are detached but present. Volumes I and II each contain 53 steel engravings after Charlet, A. de Lemud, Johannot, Grenier, Jacque, Pauquet, Penguilly, De Rudder, Raffet and Sandoz.
Musique de Béranger is illustrated by Grandville, numerous full-page plates, in black and white. The work contains notated airs both old and modern, augmented with music for posthumous songs with airs composed by Béranger, Halévy, Gounod and Laurent De Rille.
Les Dernières chansons de Béranger, from 1834 to 1851, are expanded with a letter and preface by the author.
