Full red shagreen binding. Spine with raised bands decorated with 4 small tools surrounded by a garland. Title and date in gilt. Wide decorative border on boards. Interior frieze. White watered silk endpapers. Edges gilt. Minimal traces of rubbing. Paper perfectly fresh except for 2 pale foxing spots on title page and a few on endpapers. Very handsome copy, in very fine condition.
Testament to civil service under the Second Empire. Staff status as of May 1st, 1868. The volume also concerns mines, railways, ports. Each time there is a section for the administration of Algeria.
