Half brown cloth binding, smooth spine faded with a pasted title label showing small losses, a lack at foot of spine, one joint cracked at head, marbled paper boards with surface wear, lower corners bumped, contemporary binding.
Work illustrated with two engravings.
The work was curiously bound at the time by a lovestruck binder: volume II comes first, then the text of volume I and finally the title page of Volume I, the preface and the 2 plates come at the end...
