Bradel binding in half blue-grey cloth, smooth spine very lightly darkened decorated with a gilt fleuron, brown shagreen title-label with two small scratches and gilt volume number, marbled paper boards, covers and spine preserved, contemporary binding.
Full-page autograph inscription dated and signed by Paul Fort to Count Henri de Nanteuil: "... Qu'est-ce que la poésie ? Une chanson qu'on parle." ["... What is poetry? A song that one speaks."]
