Half chocolate brown shagreen binding with corners, spine slightly faded with four raised bands, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt, covers and spine preserved.
Handsome signed autograph inscription from Charles-Henri Hirsch to the Provençal writer, caricaturist and filmmaker Carlo Rim who was notably a friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of André Salmon and Max Jacob: "A mon très cher confrère Carlo Rim, hommage affectueux à son talent, d'un aîné qu'il n'a jamais été déçu par les ouvrages de sa plume d'écrivain et de dessinateur - et qui garde un souvenir de gratitude pour le plaisir pris à "Justin de Marseille".
