First French edition after the rare original published in London in 1912, one of 20 numbered copies on Holland paper, deluxe issue. Bradel binding in half boards with vellum-style corners, smooth spine, hazelnut brown shagreen title label, red fillet frame on floral-patterned paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, contemporary binding. Work illustrated with initials, headpieces and tailpieces. Light worming on spine. Handsome full-margined copy beautifully bound of this literary hoax. This collection of libertine poems was much appreciated by Apollinaire who devoted a fine notice to it in L'Enfer de la Bibliotheque Nationale.
