Half mint green calf binding, smooth spine decorated with double gilt fillets, date at foot, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns.
Exceptional collection enhanced with three signed autograph inscriptions to the actress Zélia Ponsin which allow us to follow the career of this member of the Comédie française: a young leading lady in La Pomme, she inspires Banville to write a laudatory autograph six-line poem, a bourgeoise dressed in purple in Gringoire, she remains a "Venus", while in Florise the dedication is laconic, as she has, in the meantime, become Madame Ponsin-Provost...
