Half khaki bakel binder binding, smooth back decorated with a gilded floral pattern, double golden net tail, title piece of red shagreen that has small marginal scratches, marbled paper plates, a dull bottom corner, Contemporary binding.
Rare and precious autograph dedication signed by Alphonse Allais to his publisher Paul Ollendorff: "... the only publisher really worthy of the name, tribute of an author who is not in a vase either".
